Lions or Gazzels???
"Every morning in Africa every gazzel knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will get eaten. Every morning every lion knows it must run faster than the slowest gazzel or it will starve to death. It doesn't matter whether your a lion or a gazzel, when the sun comes up you had better be running."

9 years running
I ran track and field for 9 years. I started in 8th grade at Washington Middle School. I ran for 4 years for Maloney Highschool. Then I continued on for another 4 years at CCSU. Most of my best memories from college involve track, and many of my best friends I met on the CCSU track team. I've played other sports in the past such as soccer and frisbee, but track was always my best. I feel one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life was to join the track team, and certainly if I had not, I would not be where I am today.
Races
When I started track I was originally a sprinter. I ran the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash. Junior Year in Highschool I started running the 400 meter dash and became one of Maloney's best 400 meter runners. When I left Maloney I held the Indoor 400 and Indoor 500 meter school records.
Currently my best race is still the 400 meter dash. Since I began running the 400 my favorite race has become the 4 by 400 meter relay. Presently my best times are 49.95 in the 400m, and 22.7 in the 200m.
Still running
I do not run competitivley on a team anymore although I still do run often and keep myself in good shape. Some years I compete unattached in the Nutmeg games. I also like to run in the Manchester Road race every year on Thanksgiving. I run this race more for fun than as a competition. In the futue I may look for more track meets to compete in.
